Fieldprint Project Report Descriptions

Members enrolled in Fieldprint Projects have access to various reports if working directly in the Fieldprint Platform and not through a QDMP. These reports provide insight into the project and use crop years that are finalized and calculated with the latest metric version. The descriptions of the available reports are below:

Fieldprint Platform Reports

  • Essential Data Summary (EDS)
    • The Essential Data Summary (EDS) is a streamlined tabular output containing key data related to enrolled crop intervals, provided as an Excel workbook. Variables include grower identification, field characteristics (name, size, state, county), and crop information (type, harvest year, interval dates). The export includes eight sustainability indicator scores and their components: Biodiversity, Energy Use, GHG Emissions, Irrigation Water Use, Land Use, Soil Conservation, Soil Carbon, and Water Quality.
    • The EDS also contains yield information, soil texture class, cover crop presence, tillage regimen, irrigation application data, nutrient management information, crop protectant usage, and manure application data. The EDS file serves as a focused export for reporting and analysis of the project’s sustainability indicators and management practices.
  • Fieldprint Project Report
    • The Fieldprint Project Report (FPR) helps you take a deep dive into your project data to assess yearly indicators, analyze trends, and extract insights to benefit your organization and the growers enrolled in your project. The report includes:
      • Project snapshot: Information such as entered acres, number of fields, grower participation rates, and maps that show your project at a glance.
      • Abridged documentation: Description of indicators, functional units, and methodologies.
      • Performance analysis: Charts and tables showing how the fields in your project perform across eight sustainability areas. The report shows both overall trends and breakdowns by relevant categories.
      • Contextual analysis: Charts and tables about agricultural inputs (fertilizers, manure, irrigation, crop protectants, etc.), yield, soil properties for the fields in your project, and representation of conservation practices.
      • Rich content: The report includes 4 maps, 52 charts, and 32 summary tables.
      • Commitment to continuous improvement: We are responsive to your feedback and will add more content over time.
    • The Fieldprint Project Report give you clear, easy-to-understand data about your sustainability performance, making it simple to identify what’s working well, what needs improvement, and how to communicate your results to others.
  • Participation Data Output File
    • This report provides an excel spreadsheet detailing grower ID, grower name, grower email, field name, field size, the county location of the field, the crop and crop year for each field enrolled in the project.

Partner Supplemental Reports

  • EDF N Balance
    • The Fieldprint Platform now incorporates Environmental Defense Fund’s N Balance Model for Fieldprint Projects. Environmental Defense Fund’s N Balance Model is designed to help farmers and agricultural stakeholders optimize nitrogen use efficiency. It balances nitrogen inputs, such as fertilizers, with outputs, including crop yields, to minimize nitrogen losses to the environment. By doing so, it helps reduce water pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and other environmental impacts associated with excessive nitrogen use, promoting more sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices. N Balance is a standalone output and is not directly connected to Field to Market’s eight sustainability indicators. The N Balance Report provides the N Balance Score and the  Fieldprint Platform data used in the calculations.
  • SAI Platform’s FSA Equivalency
    • Field to Market: The Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture and the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative (SAI) Platform maintain an equivalency agreement, which formally recognizes Field to Market’s Fieldprint Platform as an accepted means of fulfilling the requirements of SAI Platform’s Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA). For more information, visit the Field to Market SAI Platform Equivalency Agreement page.
    • Reports are available for years where at least one grower with at least one field connected to Project has completed the Supplemental Questionnaire for Equivalency with SAI Platform FSA for their farm. Project Administrators are responsible for outreach to growers who have been selected to complete the questionnaire.
  • TSC Reporting (will be added back into Version 5 at a later date)
    • Field to Market and The Sustainability Consortium (TSC) are working to harmonize measurement and reporting of sustainable agriculture and encourage data platform interoperability. Field to Market’s Fieldprint Platform and Supply Chain Sustainability Program are approved by TSC collectively as a Ready to Use tool and standard for commodity sourcing from farms in the United States.
    • Companies sourcing commodities through Projects can generate aggregate field-level data results from the Fieldprint Platform and report into TSC for 33 product categories and 21 Key Performance Indicators. For instructions on how to utilize data from the Fieldprint Platform or Field to Market Projects to report into TSC, please download our joint guidance.

Additional Fieldprint Platform Reports

  • Project Fields Shapefile
    • This zip file provides all field boundaries enrolled in the project that can be used for more advanced geographic analysis in ArcGIS or other such programs.
