Fieldprint Platform API Release Notes

This page tracks release notes for the Fieldprint Platform API Version 5. Each entry summarizes the changes, enhancements, and fixes included in that version. New entries will be added as updates are released.

Version 5.0.7 (5.0.6, 5.0.5)

Released: September 1, 2026

This is a wrap-up release rolling in 5.0.5 and 5.0.6 along with the 5.0.7 changes.

  • Crop Interval Date Validation: Tillage activity dates must now fall between planting and harvest, preventing out-of-order dates that historically caused errors when crop intervals overlapped
  • Soil Texture Lookup: Fixed an issue causing an “unknown soil texture for this location” error for certain locations

Version 5.0.4 (5.0.3)

Released: July 9, 2026

Version 5.0.4 updates the platform’s base image to Python 3.14 along with related dependencies and expands documentation. It also rolls in the items originally slated for 5.0.3, including support for practice and tile drainage install/removal years, expanded manure nutrient detail in output, a required manure type field, and an updated crop history data layer.

  • Base Image & Dependencies: Updated the base image to Python 3.14 and updated related dependencies
  • Crop History- CDL Layer: Added the 2025 Cropland Data Layer (CDL) to crop history
  • Manure Nutrient Output: Manure Nitrogen (N) and Phosphate (P2O5) detail is now included in output.
  • Manure Type Required: Manure Type is now a required field

Version 5.0.2

Released: March 11, 2026

  • Activity Date Validation: The API now enforces that activity dates fall within the bounds of their associated harvest interval, preventing out-of-range dates from being submitted and calculated.
  • Yield & Nutrient Reference Data: Updated yield and nutrient range reference data used in validation and calculations across crops.

    Version 5.0.1

    Released: February 19, 2026

    • Cover Crop Greenhouse Gas Accounting: Added greenhouse gas accounting for cover crop seed inputs, ensuring cover crop-related emissions are reflected in calculation outputs.
    • SAI FSA Endpoint Restored: Resolved an issue introduced during the Version 4 to Version 5 platform upgrade that prevented the SAI Farm Sustainability Assessment scoring endpoint from functioning correctly.
    • On-Farm Drying Energy: On-farm drying energy is now included in total energy use calculations.
    • Biodiesel Transportation Emissions: Greenhouse gas emissions from on-farm transportation are now correctly included in totals when biodiesel is the selected fuel type.
